Brings 20 Years of Sales Leadership in the Wireless Industry to Aylus Networks
January 11, 2011 - Westford, MA - Aylus Networks, Inc., a leader in helping mobile operators manage and monetize the explosive growth of real-time broadband video and rich communications traffic on their networks, announced today that they have appointed Ramsey Masri VP Of Global Sales and Marketing. Masri has more than twenty years of sales and marketing management experience in the software and telecommunications industries. Before joining Aylus, he served as VP of Sales and Alliances at Mformation, the leading provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions, where he developed successful relationships with key global operators in the Americas, Asia and Europe, as well as with key business partners.
“We are pleased to welcome Ramsey to our management team,” said Mark Edwards, CEO, Aylus Networks. “He was instrumental in establishing Mformation’s leadership position in the mobile device management market. He will be a great asset to Aylus Networks in maintaining and expanding Aylus’ relationships with leading operators, over-the-top service providers and business partners in the wireless ecosystem.”
“Aylus Networks has a great opportunity to help wireless operators to grow their revenues and build customer loyalty by making video and other rich media into an extension of the voice call,” said Masri. “Mobile operators are in an ideal position to provide mobile video calling and other multimedia services, providing a simple, intuitive and high-quality user experience that makes efficient use of their networks. At the same time, over-the-top service providers want to monetize their offerings and scale for the enterprise marketplace. The key to enabling these services is a new generation of scalable, carrier-grade multimedia infrastructure, which Aylus Networks has developed and deployed in tier-1 operator networks.”
Prior to Mformation, Mr. Masri was Vice President and General Manager of the Service Provider business unit at Critical Path, which focused on mobile messaging and value-added services for wireless carriers. He was responsible for global sales, product marketing, and alliances, where oversaw business dealings with leading European, American and Asian carriers and forged strong relationships with HP, LogicaCMG, BearingPoint and IBM Global Services.
Before Critical Path, Masri spent twelve years at Oracle in a variety of sales and managerial roles, where he focused on both wireline and wireless carriers, positioning Oracle’s entire range of products and applications. Ramsey holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
