Mark Edwards, CEO
Mr. Edwards has more than 25 years of senior executive experience in building market leaders in the computing and telecommunications industries. Before Aylus, he was CEO of Mformation Technologies Inc., which he built from the ground up to become the global market leader in mobile device management (MDM) software with over 40 mobile operator customers, and over 500 million devices managed.
Prior to joining Mformation, Mr. Edwards was EVP at Symbian, an operating system (OS) company whose OS has been shipped on over 360 million smartphones around the world and was acquired by Nokia Corporation (NOK). Before that he held the position of Managing Director at Psion Computers PLC, a public company and provider of mobile computers and handheld devices, and was CEO and founder of CRT Multimedia Ltd, a provider of computer-based training software. He was also part of the Executive Board of Spring Group PLC, a $1B+ revenue public software and services company which grew to become a FTSE 250 company and was acquired by Adecco. In addition, Mr. Edwards served in senior executive positions at Microsoft where he ran the Windows business for the UK and Ireland, and Hewlett-Packard where he managed a global product line based in the peripherals group.
Ramsey Masri, VP of Global Sales and Marketing
Ramsey has more than 20 years of sales, pre-sale, services, alliances and marketing management experience in the software and telecommunications industries. He is responsible for these same areas at Aylus Networks. Before joining Aylus, he served as VP of Sales, Services and Alliances at Mformation, the leading provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions, where he developed successful relationships with key global operators and business partners in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Prior to joining Mformation, Ramsey was Vice President and General Manager of the Service Provider business unit at Critical Path, which focused on mobile messaging and value-added services for wireless carriers. Ramsey was responsible for global sales, product marketing, and alliances, where he managed business dealings with leading European, American and Asian carriers and forged strong relationships with HP, LogicaCMG (now Acision), Accenture and IBM.
Prior to Critical Path, Ramsey spent twelve years at Oracle in a variety of sales and managerial roles. Ramsey holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
Steven Ball, VP of Products
Steve has more than 25 years of telecommunications and enterprise networking experience in product development, product management, and professional services roles. Before Aylus, he was a Program Director in product development for IBM Tivoli and also led technical due diligence for a series of successful acquisitions. Steve joined IBM as part of the Micromuse acquisition. Shortly before the Micromuse acquisition, Micromuse acquired Quallaby Corporation where Steve served as VP of Development. Quallaby was the leading provider of network performance management system software targeted at service providers and large enterprises.
Prior to Quallaby, Steve was the Director of Network Management development at Bay Networks which was acquired by Nortel Networks. At Bay/Nortel, he was a co-inventor of three patents related to network and service management. Prior to Bay/Nortel, he held progressive positions in product development management and professional services at Cabletron Systems and at Memotec Datacom. Steve began his career at Bell Laboratories.
Steve earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and his Master of Engineering (Electrical) from Cornell University.
Paul Caron, Chief Technology Officer
Paul Caron is Chief Technology Officer of Aylus Networks, where he is responsible for the company’s technical vision and strategy. Paul has more than 25 years of experience in technology research and telecommunications product development in the areas of networking, routing, signaling, optical transport switching, and audio/video digital signal processing.
Prior to Aylus, Paul was a Consulting Engineer and Software Architect in the Optical Switching division at Sycamore Networks. Paul has also held architect and senior level engineering positions at DiVitas Networks, Nortel Networks, Bay Networks, and MITRE.
Paul received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
Kevin Durkin, VP of Finance
Kevin brings to Aylus Networks more than 20 years of financial and operational experience in technology companies. Before joining Aylus, Kevin was Corporate Controller of Casenet, a venture-backed provider of health care management solutions.
Prior to joining Casenet, Kevin was Director of Finance for Salary.com, a company which he helped take public in 2007. Kevin joined Cisco Systems through the acquisition of ArrowPoint Communications, where he played a key role in their initial public offering. He began his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Kevin earned a B.A. in Economics from Hobart College and a M.S./M.B.A. from Northeastern University, and is a Certified Public Accountant .
