Enabling Rich Communication Services (RCS/RCS-e)
Aylus Networks helps mobile operators increase ARPU and boost subscriber retention with GSMA-compliant RCS/RCS-e services. With the Aylus Video Platform, operators can ensure interoperability of RCS/RCS-e services, enhance the customer experience with RCS/ RCS-e and accelerate the uptake of RCS/RCS-e services.
Supported by leading operators and vendors, GSMA’s RCS facilitates interoperable, enriched communication including: in-call live video sharing, conversational messaging, and presence-enhanced contact management. The Aylus Video Platform enables and extends all of the media sharing features defined by GSMA RCS 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and RCS-e.
Aylus' video sharing capabilities enable the enhancement of mobile voice calls with the addition of live video.
In addition, the Aylus Video Platform provides three critical value-added contributions to ensure the success of RCS/RCS-e deployments:
- “RCS-out” sharing to non-RCS devices: The Aylus Video Platform enables media sharing from a device with an RCS/RCS-e client to any Internet-enabled device with a media player. This allows RCS/RCS-e users to share video content easily and simply with a large installed base of non-RCS legacy users (on mobile devices, PCs, Macs, tablets, TVs, etc.), and allows users on different networks to receive shared media content from friends and family
- “N-way” RCS sharing: One-to-many or "N-way" RCS/RCS-e sharing is a core part of the Aylus Video Platform, enabling multiple parties to view shared media such as live video while the Aylus Video Platform optimizes the video format for each end device. The Aylus Video Platform also enables live video sharing with social networks.
- RCS client interoperability testing: The Aylus Video Platform can serve as an effective “hub” with which all of the different clients can be tested for interoperability and compatibility. With the ability to validate any RCS/RCS-e device client, the Aylus Video Platform serves as a gold standard server to validate interoperability between the various clients from different device and software vendors.
