MediaShare conforms to the VideoShare and ImageShare standards as described in the Rich Communication Services (RCS) specifications by the GSM Association.

Aylus MediaShare solution has been interoperated with five of the leading IMS vendors in the ecosystem today, and can also be offered as a turn-key, Pre-IMS offering for Operators who are still in the planning stages of their IMS deployments.

With MediaCast, end users can share live video from their phones to Operator web-portals, other mobile devices, and social networks—all in the same session. Friends of the user who did not receive the content in real time are notified, and can view the content at their leisure.

In addition, when combined with a content portal such as the Aylus MediaLocker, users can use MediaCast to store content to their personal network storage locker to enjoy later.

Aylus MediaCast is covered in Video Share Phase 2 specifications from GSMA and is included in the RCS specifications.

Aylus leverages the flexibility of its platform and scalable transcoding infrastructure to permit the vast majority of content that already exists for the PC user to be available Anywhere, Anytime to the mobile device.

MediaLocker can optionally be configured with a set of Aylus provided "social network connectors" that permit updates to a user's MediaLocker to automatically trigger notifications to their buddies on most well known social networks.

The caller can select content (audio, pictures, video) of her liking and push them to appear at their friend's mobile as their phone rings. Content can be inserted both pre-call and post-call to increase the amount of personalization offered to the caller.

Various studies have concluded that most subscribers look at their screen before they answer a call. Now mobile operators have an opportunity to offer their subscribers the ability to personalize their calls with something fun, interesting and spontaneous.
